Christmas Fog!

Fog, fog, and more fog!
Don't you love it? MMMMM! Breathe in that fresh moist air. It's like a humidifier, but cold.

I love the fog though. It reminds me of Christmas. Christmas fog!

What do you think of the fog? Methinks it's very cold and chilly, but cool. Super cool. But, since one of my sisters has my jacket, and I'm not saying who, I'm going back inside.

Here's a picture to show us all the wonders of fog. I can look at fog whenever I want now! It's positively lovely, fog is.

Have a nice foggy Christmassy day!

Love...

Christmas is Coming!

It's an exciting time here at our house. Christmas season is here. I know, it's still November! Everybody is saying it's Christmas, but if you are going to be literal...Well, let's just say it's not even December, much less Christmas.
Ok, Jubi says I'm being a wet blanket right now. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I think that refers to my previous statement.

Anyway, today was our day to put up the decorations. Spice has been making these awesome giant 3d snowflakes to hang on the bookshelves! What decorations have you been putting up?

The tree will be set up tomorrow evening, and we are super hyped up about that. I just LOVE Christmas trees, don't you? My favorite color of tree is white, but we have a green one.

What's your wish list, and what are your traditions this year? :)

The New Floor

"Hi Jubi!" I greeted my favorite sister. "Aren't you cold? I asked. A tee-shirt in November! Brrr. It made me cold just thinking about it.
"No. I'm just checking out our new wood flooring."
"It's nice, isn't it?" I smile. "What do you think about it? Be honest!"

"I LOVE it!" Jubi grinned happily. "I'll show you how much I love it." She laid down on the floor, and spread her arms out. "That looks slightly unusual," I giggled.
"It's definitely not as soft as the old carpet," She admitted.

We both sat down on the wood floor. "The only thing is...I can't safely practice my gymnastics in here anymore. And if it's not safe, Mama won't let me do it for sure." I sighed.
"Don't worry! Mama will give you a place to practice."
"I was hoping she'd buy a gymnastics mat."
Jubi threw her head back and laughed. "You're funny, Ivy!"

"The good thing about this floor is," Jubi said, "is that there's more room to play in!"
We both stood up and looked around. Yup. It WAS really really big!
"Let's play then!" I suggested. We held hands, and thought of something.

"Let's play our flower girl story," I said. Jubi nodded. "Okay, flower girls it is!"
There's nothing like a big room and a powerful imagination.

Or in our case, there's nothing like a good friend and sister.

Big hooray for Thanksgiving! What are you all doing? I honestly have no idea what we're doing. :)
Until next time...

A Beautiful Day

Well, this was supposed to be uploaded in October, but Spicemuffin's family was redoing the front room, and the computer was shut down. But I'm back now, with a long post!

A couple of days before the 31st, I slipped into my jacket and stepped outside. It was a wonderfully cloudy morning, the kind Spicemuffin and I like. Well, she likes rainy mornings best, but I can't walk in the rain.

I walked over to the neighbor's house, and found two of the most impressive pumpkins I've ever seen! We didn't have these in China. I wonder what Kylie and Jessamine will think when they see their first pumpkin!

Then, all of a sudden, this cat appeared. At least it wasn't a black cat. I think that cat lived there. He had a collar, but I didn't know his name.

"Um, hi kitty!" I said to him. I tried my utmost to seem very friendly, for this cat was every inch as tall as me! Such a big cat.

He looked at me as if to say, "Kitty is NOT my name".
Well!
I walked away from that situation slowly. -meow- said the cat.

I walked back towards our house, and stopped over by the lamp post to rest. It takes a whole lot longer to get anywhere if you're only 18 inches. Imagine  how long it would've taken for Sierra or Taylor to walk that far!

I visited the leaf pile, which was rather small at the time. I sat in it, believing it was a bad idea to jump. The leaves were nice and crispy!

I think my boots go wonderfully with the leaves. They would be better if they were a nice chocolatey brown, but oh well.

I continued on my walk, and visited these nice evergreen bushes. They remind me so much of Christmas. And I LOVE Christmas! <3

"What was that?" I could've sworn I heard a noise.

-meow-
Oh, that cat. That's just creepy, Kitty! I told him to stop following me. I don't think he quite understood what I meant.

However, one can't let a cat ruin a good morning's walk! And it was a LOVELY morning. The clouds were shadowing the sun as to make a nice, cool day without any vinyl melting!

"Okay, kitty, I'm going home now. Scoot!" I said. -meow-

It was nice to take a seat on the couch after that nice long walk!

After I put some cocoa on the stove, I sat myself back down. As it was quite warm and toasty, I decided to take off my sweater.

Right sleeve...

left sleeve...

Ah! That's much better. I better get that cocoa now before it scorches!

I hope you enjoyed my little post. Have a nice day!
