They're Off

Well, Mama decided to bring her little friend Peace. I guess it's only fair. Peace never gets to go anywhere anyways!

Yep. Mama is like an aunt to all the girls on the block, so all of us talk freely with her. Sometimes, we talk too much. :)

This is Peace's first time camping! The little dear is so excited. Mama made her a sweet little frock to go over her clothes. She also made her denim moccasins and a sleeping bag! That little girlie is going to have a heap of fun.

:D She promised to bring home a bagful of my favorite blueberry muffins and raspberry danish pastries.

Well, I won't be posting till at least Sunday, so see you later!

Nervousness

I'm so nervous. I so want to go with Mama to the ******'s family camp. I can't use their real name, sorry.
However, one of the other girls might be going. I'd so love to take a night off away from boarding school. True, it's a Christian school, and I get to go home on Saturdays/Sundays, but I love to be away.
The trip over will be so fun! And then, the campout will be totally awesome.

Hot dogs, salads, chips, and other various snacks for dinner! Capture the flag--at NIGHT! (too bad Mama doesn't like Capture the Flag--whether it's daytime or not!) A blazing bonfire and s'mores! D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S breakfast: muffins, omelette, and (drumroll) Danish Pastries! YUM!

What I said in bold is what we're gonna be doing there. Oh, I DO want to go! But I promise I won't be a sore loser if I'm not.
But be sure to tell Mama on her blog who you want to go with her.

Rose Hollow Academy

Well, Easter break is all over. I'm so sad. That means all us girls have to go back to school! When Mama is at school, I go to Rose Hollow Academy. It's a private boarding school. It's okay I guess if you like school!
The only upside is that all my friends go there. Joy (my sister), Jubilee and her sis Marie, and Fidelia all stay there.

I'm typing this from my room at R.H.A right now. I share the room with Joy and a girl named Tiffany. We all call her Tiffi. She's the bounciest girl ever!
Are you drooping with boredness over the computer? If so, I'm very sorry.

At last, the story of the first day of school.

As I walked in with my suitcase and backpack, I looked around and sniffed the air. Sure enough, it was exactly the same as it was two weeks ago. But in the lobby, there were two new girls. Joy and I checked in, said our goodbyes to Mama, and walked over.
"You new here?" Joy asked. They looked up at us. "Find out for yourself," One of them said. The other girl took special pains to hide her face. Joy took our stuff up to our room. I walked over to the front desk. "Anna?" I asked. The receptionist, Anna, looked up. "Oh, greetings Ivy!" I smiled, and asked about the two girls.
Anna glanced around the room to make sure no one else was near. Then, she leaned close. "The redhead is Sharon Goodly. She seems rude, but she doesn't mean it. Word is, she's from an extremely rich family!" She paused. "The other blond girl is Julie Albright..." "What?!" I interrupted. I almost ran over, but Anna grabbed me.
"Not now! I know you miss your friend, but I don't think you should confront her right now."
"Why?" I asked.
"Julie's parents got divorced."
My heart wrenched. Poor Julie! I knew she would want to be left alone for the first day. I sighed. I missed her so much, and wanted to speak with her.
I ran upstairs, and rapidly told Joy and Tiffi (our roommate) about Julie.
The two looked concerned, but didn't say anything.
"This will be an interesting month!" Tiffi said.
I agreed.

Our Egg Hunt

Wow, I had so much fun egg hunting yesterday.
Mama thought everyone was sleeping, but I was just pretending to be asleep. I followed her outside!
I was so excited. I felt like a spy following Mama! You should try it sometime.

Although it was early in the morning, it was nice and bright outside. I watched Mama hide all the eggs. Isn't that basket darling?

To justify myself, I watched from the window so I could only see the general location of the eggs. :) Don't be angry with me.

When the hunt began, all of us took off like a bullet from a gun!

I was so surprised that Fidelia found the first egg! She's so good. And funny. And giggly!
Joy found a cleverly hidden egg also!
"Aha!" She yelled. I laughed.

I love my sister.

Jubilee found a really hard egg. Can you see that spot of blue hidden under the rocks?

The hunt was almost over. There were only two eggs left. Fidelia found one........
....... and then fell down! Whoops!

There was only one egg left. I paced around waiting for someone to find it.
Of course, I myself knew where it was. :D
After 5 minutes, I ran to get the egg.

"Egg Ahoy!" Fidelia yelled from her spot when she spied me taking it.

Is that an egg I see behind her?!

Anyway, all of us won. We all got to help Mama make her cookies. They were d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!

Silent Day

Most of you know what day it is today. It's Good Friday. Our neighborhood is deathly silent, and there are barely any cars driving about.

Most of you know, but only some believe that a little under 2000 years ago, Jesus died on on this day.

1 Pet. 2:24 -- He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

1 John 2:1-2 -- My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Remember this day.

Happy Earth Day!!!!!!

Happy Earth Day everybody!

Are you being green?

Heehee, pictures of us participating in earth day coming soon.

Have a great Earth Day weekend!

Friends

Two days before, the gang let me have the "Happy Spring Break!" poster. If you scroll down far enough in this blog, AGdollstuff & More , you'll find the post I'm speaking of.

I was so excited because it's my first poster ever! I'm not kidding.
I taped it up right next to my desk so I can see it whenever I'm sitting there.

And then, I created a poster of my friend. Her name is Julie. She lives waaaaaay across town. I haven't seen her in months, even a year! I miss her so.

I taped it up right above my bed. The first thing I see when I wake up is my friend. I know you all are wondering about Jubilee. True, she's my best friend, but Julie is my first friend.

I stood back and looked at it. I had taken that picture of her when us two were visiting San Francisco with her two pups. :)
For a while, I looked at it. I didn't even realize how long I sat there until Fidelia walked into my room.

"It's 2 o'clock now." She said. I jumped. I had put the poster up at 1pm! "It is?" I sheepishly asked.
Fide nodded. "And it's raining.

We walked to the window, and stood on the windowsill.

It surely was raining. Fidelia looked so disappointed about the rain that I felt ashamed. Here I was feeling all gloomy about my friend, and Fidelia was looking so down-hearted. "Tell you what." I said. "Let's call the girls over and play a game!" Fidelia brightened, and heartily agreed.

Sorry...

I'm sorry. I should be posting more for you guys. But to tell you the truth, spring break isn't all relaxment! :(
I've been so busy. But our fun moments are figuring about which girl will come to the neighborhood next.
Then, what will her name be? Many girls get new names when moving to the Rose Hollow neighborhood.
We're not sure what her new name should be!
Kali?
Arizona?
Poppy?
Cora?
Renae?
Savannah?
Georgia?
Arienne?
Penny?
Rose?
Destiny?
Meadow (or Meadowlark)
Ellie?
Grace?
Kailey?
Oh my, it's so hard!
And what about
Kelsey?
Chloe?
Zoe?

Zoe is nice. But, what about that list of names? Comment on your idea if you wish.
Next topic . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Easter! At our home, we call it Resurrection Day. This Saturday, we're going to make Resurrection Day Meringues! On Sunday, Mama might let us do an egg hunt!
It'll be so much fun.
What are you doing for Resurrection Day?

Flower Quest/Meet Jubilee

Hi! I'd like you all to officially meet my best friend Jubilee Noelle. Although you saw her in my second post, you haven't really met her. So, here's JUBILEE!

Isn't she just simply the most sweetest creature you ever saw? We're pretty much opposites in our appearance. She has blond hair, I have black. She has blue eyes while mine are grayish brown.
So we did a flower quest together. Of course, I found the first flower. It's just a geranium, but when you look at it, you must admit that it is really lovely. A simple joy? I think so!

That's my geranium. When she saw that I had found the first flower, Jubi rushed to find an .......... azalea! "I found one!" She yelled.

It's sorta pinkish purple. I can't pinpoint the exact color.

The last flowers that were found were found by both of us. A whole patch of beautiful flowers. Pansies? I have no idea.

The last photo is of two friends walking home together.

Exhausted

I'm so tired. But I'm SO glad Spring Break is HERE!!
Sorry for my spasm. :D
Wanna know the reasons behind my excitement?
  1. No school. This is a no-brainer! I love vacation.
  2. No writing class! Obviously.
  3. My mama's best friend Jessica is coming over on Wednesday!
Yeah. Jessica has a lot of friendly dolls! They are: Elizabeth, Madeleine, Sunny, and Christina.
Hopefully, I'll be posting some pictures of them.
We'll be doing a sewing date!
Jessica wants to make a tee-shirt and mini skirt. I'm happy with all the clothes Mama has been making us!
Just this morning, she whipped up a CUTE pair of shorts for my friend Fidelia.
Yesterday evening, she made me a stunning burgundy strappy tank. Earlier that day, she attempted a miniskirt. Before that, she made me a drawstring sundress.
Before that, she made Bermuda shorts and denim jeans.
You get the picture.

PLEASE! Go to Mama's blog and comment on her post! Understand? :D You get to help choose our new friend!
Please, we're all counting on you guys to pick the best doll for our new neighborhood pal.

See you, and have FUN on your Spring Break!

Flower Quest/Meet Marie

Hello! Sunshiny Ivy at your service!
Just kidding.

I would like you to meet Maria Bella, more commonly known as Marie. She's an outdoorsy outgoing sparkly kind of gal. She also loves animals!
If you've read Mama's blog, you'll know that Marie gives tours at our local regional park. So, without further ado  . . .  pictures?

Marie and I.

Below is the gorgeous flower I found. Of course, I'm not that great at taking pictures. This tulip is a fiery orange/red, and I found it before Marie did!

Here's a close up.

And now, the flower bush that Marie discovered! We walked up a ways, and Marie immediately pointed out this bush. I believe the flowers are azaleas.

Aren't they lovely? The dewdrops are so delicate.

Below you will find the sunny flower bush I stumbled on.

Have a great day, and maybe do a flower quest of your own with a friend!

Remember how I promised you pictures?
I just uploaded them!
I'm sorry they're all dark and all. We took them after the sun set and it was dark.
Here you go! (you should be able to click my pics to make them bigger)

That's the amazing tangle fight we had.

A moment of randomness.

Okay, Jubi's my best friend. I had to help her up, even if we weren't supposed to in the game! :D

Marie being attacked.

MOVIE!!

Enjoy!

Saturday, April 9, 2011

Ah

I really just love Friday nights. Don't you?
On Friday night, all us girls met at the clubhouse. We had a friendly tangle fight. A tangle fight, you ask?
Tangle fights are super. You just try and knock each other down, get tangled in each other, and stay on top!
It's really confusing and really fun. You should try it!

Then, we just messed around. Fidelia and I sat on Peace and Naomi's bunk, and watched the other girls play and try to join us.
Jubilee finally made it halfway up. I gave in and helped her.

Then, the fun part began!!

We watched Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008). It was awesome! We stayed up late, and talked till midnight about movies. Especially upcoming ones!

We can't wait till the Hobbit comes out (2012), Cars 2 (2011), Journey 2 (2012).
There is a supposed new American Girl movie coming out in 2012. I am not sure, but I think it's about Julie and Ivy-me!!

What fun is a movie about me?!
Anyway, pics coming soon!

Hide-n-Seek

We played a fun game of "hide from the camera". It's a game us originals (Jubilee, my adopted sister Joy, and I) have been playing for years and years. Actually, since Joy was 5 and Jubi was 4.

When one of our moms asks us to pose, we do .  .  .  right next to prepared hiding spots!

On the countdown when she says, "3 . . . 2 . . . 1" we get ready. As soon as she yells 'Cheese', we dive into our hiding spots the split-second before the picture is taken.

We get a real kick out of it! I can't believe that I've been playing that game since I was 5. It sure brings back the memories.

Well, our person posted the pictures on her blog, American Girl Doll Stuff.
We have the photos of where we hid, though!

Here's Joy. . .                         (P.S.! Click my photos to make them bigger)
Behind the tree. :)

Here's Jubilee . . .

She's behind the Nandina bush. She's so funny! That's why she's my bestie.

Fidelia's hiding spot. She's not a seasoned hider like us, but she's pretty good!

Here's Marie. She's had slightly more experience than Fidelia, and she's quicker than anyone else! Quick enough to leap over the bush and lay down .  .  . She's the hardest to find!

Next is me. I had the easiest spot ever! All I had to do was simply take a step to the side and hide behind the giant pillar.

It was a rewarding game.

What kind of fun games do you and your friends play?

(P.S. Come back soon to see our PJ party in photos!)
