Car Drive

Sorry I haven't been posting! I've been worried about Threads Boutique. But the construction director promised that it would be put up again sometime.
So!
Today, we went on a car drive. A small road trip to visit a small place.
We got up early, ate breakfast, and rushed out the door!

Here I am in the car. I love to just sit next to the window and watch the scenery. It was a beautiful day to drive! There wasn't a single solitary cloud in the sky, and I could see for miles.
After a while, I tired of the window, and sat in front of the windshield. That was a nice view! I'm glad Mama let me sit in the front seat. I had AC control, ultimate view, and a huge captain chair to call my own.
All the cars seemed to be going one way. Look at that blue sky! See what I mean? I settled down once we got near our destination. I could tell because of their signature pine trees.
The weather was nice. It wasn't too hot, or too cold.
Here I am!
Blue and green! I love this picture. I love being outside! While Mama went off, I explored. I found a nice shady spot under a clump of short trees. Towards noon, it started to get hot. The longer I stayed in my shade spot, the more I didn't want to leave!
I stepped out a little bit, and jumped right back. It was hot! I certainly didn't want to get any sunburn. I hadn't put any sunscreen on when I left. So I stayed with my little tree in my little spot and waited for Mama.
I played around a bit. I pretended I was a pioneer. Then I pretended I had Winter with me, and that we were playing together! By and by, Mama found me, and took me back to the car. "Wait here, Ivy. I'm almost done!" She told me.
I fastened my seat belt and waited. After ten minutes, Mama didn't come, so I slipped out of my belt, and slid over to the driver's seat. It was great fun!
He he he! I'm a bit too short to drive. Actually, the steering wheel is much bigger and heavier than I am. I played around with the wheel before getting bored. Then, I spied the controls. Buttons and buttons!
I love buttons and spinners and controls. The temp control was fun. It clicks every time you move it. I spun it till it squeaked and clicked at the same time! The next one was fun too.
I found out that there are hundreds of different ways to position this vent! One thing I have to have in the car is air. I can't live without a fresh supply of air! I sighed. Mama still wasn't back. When was she going to be done?!

After pushing all the other buttons I could get my vinyl hands on, I collapsed on my back on my seat. I was tired. Hungry. Bored. Sigh. Mama!!
Then, she finally came back, a smile on her flushed face. "Okee, Ivy! Let's go." She clicked her seat belt. Yay!
A nice little trips. I love being out and about, don't you?
Thanks for reading this (long) post!

A video I like, and Some Pictures

I wanted to post a video I just saw. :)

As you know, I love pets. I may be getting one soon! You can help me decide what pet to get on my poll.

And, I brought my doll-sized camera to our fireworks show, and took a few pictures!

Of course, Mama took waaaay more pictures and video than I did, so she will be posting the fireworks pics on her blog. :)

Sorry I haven't been posting, I just haven't had any ideas...I do have ONE idea...any ideas for posts are welcome! :D

Well, I gotta go. Fidelia is calling for me.
See ya!

Landscaping update

Now that Mama's finally back (with her Blogger password), I can give you an update!

 Side yard 1!
Rose bushes, red lilies, and yellow lantanas.
 Yayz!
'Member what this used to be? Dirt! Now, purple crepe myrtles, red lilies, and some other plants I don't know. ;)
Our Japanese maple. Complimented by yellow lantanas, boulders, rocks, and bark. :)
This is right next to the hose. You can just barely see a bit of concrete.
 Nandina! I Love These.
A pathway from the second concrete. Purple lantanas, nandinas, a bamboo-like-bush, and a fern. Thing.
A quite unfinished side yard! XD

So as you see, it's quite unfinished. But, to a doll, (and to anyone) it looks great, right?

Yay!

I'll come back later with some doll pics of Julie and I. I love my friend!

Welcome Summer and Bring on the Heat!

Bring on the scorching heat, it's summer! Woo-hoo!
In the mornings at 7:30 it's already 80 degrees! Ouch! But I'm cool with it. How can anyone mind when it's summer, and therefore water time?
Yep! I am using too many exclamation points. ^-^

Ha ha ha, well, this morning, we took some pictures for our Blogger readers, and here they are:

My 4 special friends and I. Marie and I forgot to look at the camera, silly us!
Now here's a funny picture below...
3 Friends guild! Except none of us looked at the camera. Whoops. XD Joy was looking at a dragonfly, Jubilee was getting squished, and I forgot that Mama was taking the picture. Hey, that's my banner! Do you like it? I worked hard on it.
HAPPY SUMMER EVERYBODY!

Yeah.
Low exposure. It was way too bright outside! You can see that Jubilee and Marie are still sticking with their barefoot thing. :)
Yep, put on your sunblock folks, for it's time for some fun in the sun! Hooray!
Holding hands. Awwwwwww. :)

Oh, remember how Joy was looking at a dragonfly? We snapped a pic of it before it flew away! Really!
How pretty!

Anyway, I must go. I gotta put on some shorts for wading! Since I'm a doll, I can't swim, but I can wade! So...see you later!

Pics of my Presents

At long last, I found time to photograph my gifts. I can't believe I just said a super fancy sentence.

Anyway, here you go!

This is the heart-shaped basket I received from Jubilee.
It's a perfect seat for Joy and I's dolls!
Marie made this creature. I bet you've guessed it! Yep, it's a tribble from Star Trek! Yahoo! With a strange rosette... :)
Fidelia made this cute little chick.
Naomi and Peace made this cat. :)
Joy made this hen. :D
I love all my presents!

What I did on my B-day

I'm gonna tell you all about my special day, starting with the very beginning.

As usual, Mrs. Buchanan dropped off Jubilee and Marie promptly at 8:30 am. Marie greeted me quickly and cheerily, then ran inside to find Joy. I waved to Jubilee who had just hopped out of the car. "Hi!" She yelled.
"Hi!" I shouted, and grinned. She looked so small from across our long lawn. She then wasted no time in skipping across the dewy grass to give me a hug. "Ivy!" She squeezed me. "It's been a day Jubilee!" I laughed, and then I gave in. "Okay," I said, "I missed you too!" Us two are like sisters. Not to forget Julie of course! I do miss her. :(

We went into the backyard, and I showed her the progress. "Cool!" She said. It was just then that I noticed. Jubi had no shoes on! "Jubi!" I exclaimed. "Did you forget your shoes at home?" She laughed. "Goodness no! Our family has decided to try going barefoot everywhere for a week." She grinned. "Well in that case," I kicked off my own shoes. "There!"

After a while of being outside, we went into my room to make posters. I felt silly for still having that "Happy Spring!" poster on my wall. I grabbed paper, pencils, a ruler, and some scissors. Jubilee grabbed my Reese's puffs cereal for snacking.
In no time, I had the words "happy summer" written on my paper. Here's my half-finished post with a flower.
Jubi quietly wrote, "get ready for some fun in the sun!" Here's her poster half done. Needless to say, our posters look awesome now. :D

After we finished that, it was lunchtime. Mama said to me, "C'mon, we're going somewhere." I put my camera down in its place (unfortunately) I was curious, but said nothing. We all hoped into the van and drove to Chili's. By now, I was really interested! We were escorted to a big table where all the Rose Hollow Dolls were waiting!

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY IVY!" They shouted in unison, including Jubi and Marie.
We had a GREAT time, even though I didn't bring my camera. :)

Oh well! I had a fun time.
Gotta go! I'm going to start working on a new post about summer. Summer IS right around the corner...literally!
And I'm looking forwards to it. Because on the 21st, I'm going with Mama to see Elliebob and Julie! Yayyyyy!

Landscaping update

Well, we're all working hard at R.H.A. I didn't even see Julie today. :( Ms. Glendale kept us dreadfully busy. The other teacher, Mr. Zittle was in a tizzy!
Anyway, I have a bunch of photos on my laptop that we took yesterday. It makes me sad to see the backyard in such a sorry state.
Here we go!

Surveying the changes. This is where more concrete is to be put in.

Hmm. Not very pretty. I can't wait for the concrete!

Nice tractor, eh? That's where the other concrete's going. :)

Then Mama made me go inside. Wednesday, come quick!!

Wednesday is when the concrete is being poured. At 7am sharp! Ms. Jordan gave me permission to go home that day. I had to promise to do all my schoolwork, however.

But I don't care!

Wednesday come quick! :DDDDDD

A tour

Today, I gave Julie a tour of Rose Hollow Academy. We started at 4:30pm outside R.H.A. "Okay!" I said. "I'm so excited." Julie said. "First, I'd like to tell you what's around. Lakeside Park is about a half mile to the Northeast. A mile northwest takes us to the Forest Trails. And if you go that way down the road," I pointed, "That will take you to the Movie Theatre and Shopping Square."
I paused. I was out of breath! Whew.
We sat on the steps to R.H.A.
"Now, about the people." I exhaled and grinned. Julie rubbed her hands together. "Well, come on, tell me!" She poked me. "Okay, okay! First, the teachers. Our headmistress Ms. Jordan is 59 years old, and over-concerned about everything!" Julie laughed out loud.
"Don't get me wrong," I continued, "She does care...just too much..."
"Next is Ms. Glendale. Fiery 54 year old Ms. Glendale! She teaches Math, Science, and History. [pause here. but if you look at this linky you can read a story called 'teacher trouble'. it features ms. glendale and natalie.] She gets upset reeeal easy, so watch out." Julie nodded. 'Check.'
"Now 24 year old Anna Moskowitz is the nicest person you'll hope to find! She's our receptionist, as you know. She's so kind and thoughtful! Didya know she's of Russian descent?" Julie's mouth opened in a wide smile. "Groovy, Sunshiny!" I giggled. "Well, Jazzy, next is Tiffany Elias. She's 11, bubbly, bouncy, and my roommate. She has the position of 'sunshine friend' in my book." Julie interrupted, "Ivy, how many positions DO you have?" I smiled. "One for all my friends. NOW! Let me continue...[i am very playful]. There's tons of girls here, but there's only 2 more that you really need to know. The first is Natalie Prince. You know her. She's our spokesperson, or representative of all us girls. She seems to think our thoughts, and then she says them boldly to the nearest teacher! She's loyal, and can, has, and will defend anyone from a pesky bully. The last girl is..." I paused for a breath, then continued.
"The last girl is Brittany Sweet [brittany is briefly mentioned in 'teacher trouble p.2']. She's 12 years old, and she's trouble! Avoid her best you can, because she's a bully. She tries to get you into trouble, and she had the nerve to get water all over Ms. Glendale once!"
Julie nodded. "Sounds great! I'll keep all that in mind."
"So what's been happening 'round here?" She asked. I kicked a pebble. "Pretty much nothing. It's boring here unless you have your besties around!"

It was 4.45pm. I took Julie inside to show her around. The conversations we had are too much to write down! So I'll just write a summary of the places we went.
Lobby: Showed her front desk, Anna, and the comfy leather and suede chairs you can sit in.
Hallways: Showed her locker rooms, showers, restrooms, water fountains, and classrooms
Dorm Level: Showed her where the girls all stayed; restrooms, hiding places, etc.
Top Level: Showed her the gathering room, attic, and party room

And that's about it. Because next, we had to take our showers before dinner started. Then there was homework, and all that fun stuff. We get more and more homework as the school year wanes off! Strange. I only have 1 more week of school, and I'm excited. Oh, the stuff we'll do!

Well, gotta go. So much homework, so little time to do it!

Seeya!

Joy's B-day

Sorry I didn't post these yesterday, but we're busy. So!
We had oodles of fun on Tuesday. At 1pm, the guests arrived.
Yes, I wore my cherry blossom dress. Joy wore the pretty wraparound dress that Mama made.
We had a Princess Diaries style party! Remember in Princess Diaries 2, they mattressurfed? We did that too! Except we used pillows and our chaise longue.
Here goes Joy...

And her reaction...

Yep! Fidelia went on her stomach...
Hee hee! Jubi and I went down together.
We went faster than anyone else! Too fast for Mama to take a picture...
And Marie went last. Don't worry if this pic confuses you, I don't really understand it myself.
After eating cake, we decided to open presents.

That belongs to P2! Haha, will post later. :)
