Landscaping update

Now that Mama's finally back (with her Blogger password), I can give you an update!

 Side yard 1!
Rose bushes, red lilies, and yellow lantanas.
 Yayz!
'Member what this used to be? Dirt! Now, purple crepe myrtles, red lilies, and some other plants I don't know. ;)
Our Japanese maple. Complimented by yellow lantanas, boulders, rocks, and bark. :)
This is right next to the hose. You can just barely see a bit of concrete.
 Nandina! I Love These.
A pathway from the second concrete. Purple lantanas, nandinas, a bamboo-like-bush, and a fern. Thing.
A quite unfinished side yard! XD

So as you see, it's quite unfinished. But, to a doll, (and to anyone) it looks great, right?

Yay!

I'll come back later with some doll pics of Julie and I. I love my friend!

Ooo, backyard pics!

I'm like so happy. The backyard looks so much better!
I decided to post some photos now, and some later. :)

So this morning, Joy and I woke up and rushed to the sliding glass door. The landscapers were here! Hooray!
It's hard to get a good picture of Joy, so I had to post this photo!
 Rototiller!

Rototiller in action! Or, not.

Drain thingy.
Headerboard/yard liner! Nice and curvy. Perfecto!
Seriously. This afternoon, Mama and I took a nap. When we woke up, we looked out the window to see brilliant green! She grabbed the camera much faster than I thought was possible and snapped a picture! Here it is. Wow. I was stunned! How could this much progress occur in half an hour?!
As I said, pebbles. And here are the boulders! Don't they give the area a strong look? So lovely. And you know what? Before you know it, the Rose Hollow Dolls are gonna be climbing all over the boulders!
Ah, grass. Of course one of the workers stepped up as soon as I took the picture. Oh well!

Well, hope you enjoyed the landscape update. :)

Our Backyard

Wow, so far the backyard looks awesome, and waaaay better! The grass gives it an organic soothing feel, and the pebbles give it a river look. I LOVE IT! AAAAAAAH! XD
I can suddenly scream like that. Beware. :) XD
Mama said they put in recyclable headerboard. I'd rather call it a yard liner. Well, they put those in in curves.
Curves gives a yard a soft organic touch, do you not agree? Everything has curves, and it's simply beautiful.
Pictures coming later! I don't think the landscaper workers like me taking pictures of them anyway. I bet they're all creeped out.
A doll with a camera?!
Well, I'll be sure to just pop out later after they leave. :)

School's Out!

I FINALLY finished my schoolwork! I'm headed home for lunch on the shuttle. I thought I'd type a post of this morning.
While Mama prepared breakfast, Jubilee and I went into our backyard. I cautiously stepped onto the concrete.
"Come on Jubi!" I laughed. "It's dry!" Jubi grinned, and then slowly slid onto the dried cement.
"Cool!" We said simultaneously.
I went over to the side, and edged onto our new porch. I held on to the pillar cautiously, and kept an eye on Mama. I didn't want her to see me!
Jubilee stepped on too. Look at her other pictures. Don't you just adore that Bohemian style?
Then, Mama stepped up. "What are you doing?" She asked.
Jubi and I looked up. I winced. "You promised that you would wait for Fidelia and Marie to step on the porch." She put her hands on her hips. "Ivy, get off right now."
Well, I didn't want to get off. I slowly moved my feet by centimeters. Mama grabbed me, picked me up, and placed me right on the old concrete.

Jubilee wasted no time in hopping off too!
The two of us ran inside very promptly! Can you see the corner of Jubi's dress?
I suppose we ARE naughty, but what can I say? We're dolls!

While I'm waiting...

Well, the concrete guys are still here!!! I wanted to take a picture outside with the new concrete, but I can't. :(
So here's today's story! While I'm waitin'.
This morning, as soon as I woke up, I rushed to the sliding glass door.
There was the wire netting, all safe and secure. The netting is to make the concrete stronger. :)

Then the concrete truck arrived!
I tried to snap a pic of the guys wheelbarrowing their tools in, but they were too speedy!
The tools waiting patiently.
Imagine my elation as they poured the first dump of concrete in! YAAAAAAY!
 Plop. ^-^
 Indistinguishable man and his wheelbarrow.
More cement/concrete! Mwahahahaha! Erm. I mean I was getting so excited I started jumping up and down!
FINALLY! I finally got a photo of the guy pouring the cement out.
This is what it looked like at lunchtime. Pretty wet!
Without me in it. >)

They're finishing up now. Yay! I'm so happy.

Landscaping update

Well, we're all working hard at R.H.A. I didn't even see Julie today. :( Ms. Glendale kept us dreadfully busy. The other teacher, Mr. Zittle was in a tizzy!
Anyway, I have a bunch of photos on my laptop that we took yesterday. It makes me sad to see the backyard in such a sorry state.
Here we go!

Surveying the changes. This is where more concrete is to be put in.

Hmm. Not very pretty. I can't wait for the concrete!

Nice tractor, eh? That's where the other concrete's going. :)

Then Mama made me go inside. Wednesday, come quick!!

Wednesday is when the concrete is being poured. At 7am sharp! Ms. Jordan gave me permission to go home that day. I had to promise to do all my schoolwork, however.

But I don't care!

Wednesday come quick! :DDDDDD

Landscaping?

At 7 am sharp, I was up and ready to go home. I scribbled a note, and left it on Anna's desk. Needless to say, I was the only one awake at 7 on a Saturday morning. I slung my hobo bag over my shoulders, my purse was tied to the hobo bag, and I slung my backpack on. I was headed home for the weekend! Everyone else can sleep in if they want (lazybones) but I'm an early riser.

Anyway, when I got home, I was surprised to see our side gates open, and men walking in and out! My mouth dropped open, and I rushed inside. Those men scared me! After all, I've never seen them before.

I climbed up to the windowsill. Then I realized the men were fixing our yard! Well, I'll be.
I never knew we were landscaping...
