A Beautiful Day

Well, this was supposed to be uploaded in October, but Spicemuffin's family was redoing the front room, and the computer was shut down. But I'm back now, with a long post!

A couple of days before the 31st, I slipped into my jacket and stepped outside. It was a wonderfully cloudy morning, the kind Spicemuffin and I like. Well, she likes rainy mornings best, but I can't walk in the rain.

I walked over to the neighbor's house, and found two of the most impressive pumpkins I've ever seen! We didn't have these in China. I wonder what Kylie and Jessamine will think when they see their first pumpkin!

Then, all of a sudden, this cat appeared. At least it wasn't a black cat. I think that cat lived there. He had a collar, but I didn't know his name.

"Um, hi kitty!" I said to him. I tried my utmost to seem very friendly, for this cat was every inch as tall as me! Such a big cat.

He looked at me as if to say, "Kitty is NOT my name".
Well!
I walked away from that situation slowly. -meow- said the cat.

I walked back towards our house, and stopped over by the lamp post to rest. It takes a whole lot longer to get anywhere if you're only 18 inches. Imagine  how long it would've taken for Sierra or Taylor to walk that far!

I visited the leaf pile, which was rather small at the time. I sat in it, believing it was a bad idea to jump. The leaves were nice and crispy!

I think my boots go wonderfully with the leaves. They would be better if they were a nice chocolatey brown, but oh well.

I continued on my walk, and visited these nice evergreen bushes. They remind me so much of Christmas. And I LOVE Christmas! <3

"What was that?" I could've sworn I heard a noise.

-meow-
Oh, that cat. That's just creepy, Kitty! I told him to stop following me. I don't think he quite understood what I meant.

However, one can't let a cat ruin a good morning's walk! And it was a LOVELY morning. The clouds were shadowing the sun as to make a nice, cool day without any vinyl melting!

"Okay, kitty, I'm going home now. Scoot!" I said. -meow-

It was nice to take a seat on the couch after that nice long walk!

After I put some cocoa on the stove, I sat myself back down. As it was quite warm and toasty, I decided to take off my sweater.

Right sleeve...

left sleeve...

Ah! That's much better. I better get that cocoa now before it scorches!

I hope you enjoyed my little post. Have a nice day!

Arizona's Zone: Why Not? Part 13

To read part 12, CLICK HERE.

~*~*~*~
I sat on the curb long after the officers were gone, and let a few tears run down my face. Nothing was going right! I beat my fists on the sidewalk. What would Natalie and Grace say?

Natalie would say, "Don't worry. It wasn't your fault." I sighed. Not helpful. Grace would say to me, "They were there before, but they aren't there now. They have to be somewhere." I brightened.

Yes, they must be SOMEWHERE. But where? I thought over my possibilities. They could've run out of the house while I was getting the police. Eagerly, I ran across the street, dodging cars.

I searched around the house for tracks, being sure to stay on the pebbles around the house. Nothing. All the mud around the doorways held no tracks, and neither did the dust under the windows.

I thought again. What was my other possibility? They must be hiding in the house somewhere! I immediately ducked into a nearby bush as I heard the creak of a door opening. My heart was beating a mile a minute.

A figure came into view. It was the man with the gun! I held my breath, praying he wouldn't see me. He instead took off in the direction of the woods behind the house. I breathed a sigh of relief.

Then a disturbing thought entered my head. Where was Willow?! Silently, I entered the house through the door the man exited. "Willow?" I called. No answer. Finding a downward flight of stairs, I thought it logical to go downwards in search of a missing person.

The stairs led into a basement. To my right was a closet. I opened the door, wincing as it creaked. I soon forgot about the noise in a heartbeat. Inside was Willow! And she was tied to a pipe!

"Willow!" I exclaimed. I immediately untied the ropes, and hugged her tight. "Ari!" Willow cried. She was so thin, and weak. "Come on, we're getting out of here," I said, helping her up.

Then my heart stopped altogether. The back door squeaked open. I froze as I heard a man grumble to himself. I looked for escape, but the stairs were the only way out of the basement. Adrenaline rushed through me as I heard him step onto the staircase.

Stay tuned for Part 14!

Shopping with Joyce

~~WARNING, THIS POST IS LONG~~

I was talking to Joy in our room the other day. And it suddenly occurred to us that this was a perfect day to go shopping and get the stuff we needed!
For example, Joyce had grown out of her shoes, and she needed new ones.
So, we told Mama, and headed out!

The first store was cute, and had a dressing room! They had all kinds of stuff--like little toys...

And SHOES! I love shoes. Maybe they are girls and dolls' weaknesses? LOL

But first, I decided to take a look at the drawers. Oooo, looks like they have some neat stuff in there.

On my tiptoes, I peeked into the top drawer. They had leggings, tights, socks, and mittens! Awesome. I was especially loving those fishnet tights! They would be nice and warm in winter...

Unfortunately, it's not winter yet. Nor is it very cold. So with a sigh, I turned away, and looked at the second drawer.
Hmm, they have a black vest. Not very interesting. Then I pulled out something I loved.

"Joy!" I called. "Come look at this Christmassy apron!" I unfolded it. The ties were made of a red fabric, with gold shimmery snowflakes on it! It reminded me of Christmas so much.

I tied it on, and showed Joy. "Wow, that is CUTE!" She said. "Are you going to get it?"

"Definitely," I replied. Since the weather is getting cooler, we will be doing more baking. I will need this apron! So with a smile, I took the apron off, and gently folded it.

Joyce went over to the rack of dresses. "Oh wow, Ivy, look at this amazing dress!" She said, pointing to a blue princess dress. It had a velvet bodice with silver trim. Pretty.

She pulled it off the rack. "I have to have this for costume day!" She said. Since we don't do halloween, we just dress up. Mama does  Reformation Day, but we can't come with her, so we have costume day at home.

"Are you sure it fits?" I asked.
"I don't care! Mama can adjust it." She replied.
Okay...
We set our stuff down on the checkout counter, and looked at the shoes.

Joyce pulled out a pair of white boots with pink soles. They were perfect for her. "I just love these and they will be perfect with some of these other stuff I have, and they have pink soles!!" She blurted. Even though it doesn't seem that way, she's younger than I. But sometimes you can tell by the way she blurts things like she just did. :)

The shoes came in her size, and fit perfectly. Yay! I went over to the hair section and pulled out a hairbrush. "We can share this," I said. There aren't enough hairbrushes for the 8 of us.

Then, something in the dress section caught my eye. I hadn't noticed it before, because the blue dress was covering it maybe. But it was a gorgeous dress. Red with silver trim, and and a silvery white jacket?

It looked magical. I couldn't help myself, I pulled it out and smoothed the fabric. Oh, this was THE prettiest dress. At least it seemed that way in the store.

"Whatcha got, Ivy?" Joyce asked. "I found this awesome red dress, and want to get it."
I held it away so I could get a better look at it. Hmm. It looked a tad small. "I'd better try this on."
"Go ahead," Joy said.

It lucky the store had a dressing room! I hopped it, and pulled the dress on, and then the sweater.
HA! It fit! I redressed into my regular clothes, and put the dress back on the hangar.

"So...?" Joy said. "It doesn't go well with my boots." I said frankly. "Did it fit?" She asked. "They really out to air out that dressing room too," I said.
"Uggg!" She said impatiently. "Does it FIT?"
I laughed, "Yep! Let's go to the checkout."

After I paid the girl at the checkout, she bagged our stuff, and we left. One store down, one to go!

The next store had only clothes. It was a small little shop, but had nicer clothing.

"Oooo, look at this pretty blue color," Joy said softly. I grinned a cocky grin, but said nothing.

"Wow, Joyce, they have just the stuff we need!" I said. "Joy!"

Ah, ignoring me again. Caught up in the other clothes rack. Actually, it wasn't a rack, but...well, nevermind.

"Whoops!" Joy yelped. I whipped my head around. She knocked over the counter! Some of the clothes were laying on the ground. Embarrassed, she set everything to rights. "Sorry about that," I apologized to the cashier.
"No problem." Was the reply. Okay!

After that fun little incident, I showed Joy what I was going to show her in the first place. "See, they have a silver purse I've been looking for."

"And they have this warm down jacket for all of us!" I said. Joyce grinned. She picked up the blue top, and handed it to me. "And this one too," She grinned.

I guess this store was a little bit more high-end. I gave her a generous amount of cash before she bagged our stuff, and thanked us.

Well, that was a fun day! After shopping, we bought ourselves some cocoa, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon. Ah, I love shopping.

Hanging with Friends

Hanging with friends is always fun!
A week ago, I met this adorable mini doll named Sam. She's so hyper!

I was getting a little carsick, so I leaned against Fidelia.

Needless to say, Arizona was NOT sick. Of course. Hanging with friends is fun, just not in the car. :)

Then, we sat down outside the nurse's office. It was the day for our shots. Boo!

Somehow, after all those checkups and vaccines, we ended up in a toboggan position. Hmm.

...
If only it was snowing. :)

Well, we had a fun/goofy time at school! Are you having fun @ school?

Stats

I was looking at my stats and noticed that less and less people are looking at my blog. I assume that this is because I am not posting as often, and for that, I am so sorry. :(

I'm going to see if I can get more posts up soon! :)
