No Greater Pleasure

There is simply no greater pleasure than to be outdoors.

Most of us sit on the computer for hours a day, and don't even know how much beauty lies in the outside space.
In the mornings at 5:30 am, there are birds singing for joy at another sunrise. The sun is peeking over the distant horizon, and the air is cool, clean, and pure.

If we wait another hour or two, golden light pours into the quiet streets of our neighborhood. Now the birds are dancing! The bees are beginning to wake themselves, and the lizards come out to sun themselves on the fence.

There is so much magnificence in just the morning alone! Yet most of the time, everyone {including myself, unfortunately} is in bed with the windows shut to the glorious sounds, and the blinds closed to shun the light.

Do you welcome the amazing glory of the morning? I think it is invigorating. God truly amazes me.

At mid-day, the sun shines warmly on all who walk on the earth. The animals are out playing in the grass, and every single flower has opened its delicate petals to the sky.

Everyone is wide awake, ready for whatever may lie ahead.

To me, evenings are the loveliest.

I walk out onto the lawn after dinner, and turn on the hose. With a smile, I water the lawn, just listening to the birds say goodnight. The night birds sing of the vivid red sunset, and dance to their Creator's glory.

Try going out in the evening. Listen to the songs. Watch a brilliant sunset fade into the distance.
Live in the moment.
