Joy's B-Day

First, Joy decided to open Jubilee and Marie's present.

 Opening...

 "Ooo, what is it?"

Joy early pushed away the brown filling to find...

an adorable flower pot with pansies!
"Thank you SO much Jubi and Marie!" Joy enthusiastically said.

Next, she picked up mine. I was wiggling with excitement!

 Pushing off the ribbon.

"Wow, what's this?" Joy mumbled excitedly.

"Oh Ivy, you didn't!"
I grinned. "Yes, I did!"

She pulled the doll out. "She's gorgeous!" Joy exclaimed.

She took out the little dog too. "Thank you so much, sis!" I do believe I blushed bright red!

At last, Joy picked up the last present: Fidelia's.
"I wonder what's in here..."

 "Oooo, it's an adorable green shirt for my new dollie!"

"Thanks Fide!"

To sum up, we had an absolutely awesome party. After the presents, we played around outside before we had to go home. Right now, I'm back at R.H.A. typing this from my handy-dandy laptop. :)
Tomorrow, I'll be giving Julie a tour of the academy.

Joy's B-day

Sorry I didn't post these yesterday, but we're busy. So!
We had oodles of fun on Tuesday. At 1pm, the guests arrived.

Yes, I wore my cherry blossom dress. Joy wore the pretty wraparound dress that Mama made.
We had a Princess Diaries style party! Remember in Princess Diaries 2, they mattressurfed? We did that too! Except we used pillows and our chaise longue.

Monday

As soon as I walked into RHA this morning, I knew something was up. Anna wasn't behind the desk. Joy and Tiffany (roommate) were with me, but I was scared. There was nobody in sight, and it was deathly silent. "Hello?" Tiffi leaped up to the desk. "Anna? What kind of trick is this?!" No reply came. So us three just headed up to our room. The door was locked! I dropped my suitcase next to the door. Joy and Tiffi followed suit.
We headed down to the head-mistress's office, and knocked on the door. The head-mistress, Ms. Amelia Jordan opened the door slowly. When she saw it was us, she grabbed us, and pulled us down the hall to the  cafeteria! She unlocked the doors, and pushed us inside. "That hurt!" Tiffany complained. "Yeah, Ms. Jordan, be gentle!" Natalie spoke up. Natalie is the representative of sorts of the students. She seemingly thinks our thoughts, and isn't afraid to speak up.
Ms. Jordan frowned as she locked the door. "Finally everyone is here!" She sighed, and immediately hurried to the other end of the cafeteria. "It's a lockdown!" Natalie whispered. "We're all so scared here!" The students nodded. I sat down next to Natalie and scooted up close. She put her arm around my shoulders. She has the position of "Very Close Friend" (Hint: Jubilee has "Best Friend" and Julie has the honorable position of "First Friend")
"I guess some criminals escaped from jail, and are headed this way!" Natalie told me, her big sapphire eyes wider than usual. Julie crept up too, and I squeezed her hand. "Well, what a way to start school!" Julie giggled. Jubilee soon joined us, along with Kate (who has "Good Friend").
"I just talked to teacher!" Kate said.
"What did she say?" I asked.
"She said there's no school today!"
"That's soooo cool!" Natalie clapped her hands together.
"Yeah."
"So we're stuck inside the cafeteria all day?" Julie asked.
"Until the lockdown is over."
"So what can we do all day?" Jubilee asked unhappily.


Natalie looked around sneakily, and drew out a large messenger bag. I took out mine as well. Out of Natalie's bag came a shiny white Apple® laptop. Out of mine came paper, pencils, dolls, and my camera! "Well if it comes to that..." Julie whipped out her A.G. activity book and crocheting kit. "Groovy!" I said. So, Monday turned out to be a FANTASTIC day. The lockdown ended at 5:30. But up to then, we were playing InnerstarU games online, sketching, playing dolls, snapping photos, and trying games from Julie's book.
Once the doors were all unlocked we finally got to unpack and chill-for like 10 minutes, cause it was dinnertime already.
After dinner, Tiffany, Joy, Natalie, Julie and I gathered in my dorm room to email our moms on Natalie's laptop (okay, we gathered mainly to tell ghost stories! :D).
So here we are! I'm chilling out on our bed with Natalie's laptop to give you my little entry. And guess what? Mama already emailed me back! Here's her message:

Dear Ivy and Joy,
What an exciting experience! Guess what? Ms. Jordan and Ms. Glendale have given their permission for you two to be home tomorrow, and Wednesday morning. Love you, and see you tomorrow.

What I did

I'm so not looking forward to school. It's not that I hate it, it's the fact that I'd rather be on vacation. Yesterday in the mail, us dolls got our schedules for this week.
7am: Wake up; Get dressed; Make beds
8am: Breakfast!!!!!!!!
8:30: P.E.
9:15: Music Practice/Lesson
10am: English Language Arts
10:40: Science
11:30: Language Learning (We use Rosetta Stone)
12:15: Lunchtime
1pm: History
1:40: Arithmetic
From then on is the classes we choose. I chose gymnastics and yoga.

So yeah. Anyway!

I had so much fun. We're all caught up, and Julie told me about her parents' divorce. I feel much better about talking to her now. She said that she'll meet me tomorrow in the lobby at Rose Hollow Academy. That's one thing to look forward to.

Tonight, I saw Jubilee walking Ella and Rascal, but I was doing chores and couldn't talk. At least it was my favorite chore: sweeping the front porch. I mostly daydream when I sweep. :) Like my broom?

There was a lot of leaves and dust from our recent blustery rainstorm. I had a fine time sweeping it all up!

After I finished, I imagined the evening away. Mostly though, I thought fond thoughts of Julie.

Presents

Yesterday was present-wrapping day. Jubilee, Marie, and Fidelia all came over to wrap their presents for Joy in my room. When I looked around, I was confidant I had enough supplies.

Two big boxes, one small box, brown filling, and a lot of ribbon! My doll sat atop my desk watching innocently. I waited impatiently, and checked my supplies again. Was it enough?

Just then, everyone arrived!

Jubilee and her sister Marie brought a CUTE (simply adorable) flowerpot filled with pansies. Needless to say, they were fake. They looked so realistic though! Sweet Fidelia brought a green sequined tank top for Joy's new doll (which is my present). Aren't their clothes fabulous? I really love their clothes. Marie's handmade tunic is really cool, and Fidelia's floor-length sundress is so breezy. And of course, Jubilee always has fantastic outfits.

Once we greeted each other, we sat on the floor. Fidelia chose the little green box, Marie chose the red and green origins box (Hey! I couldn't do any better), and I got the blue teddy bear box.

And then, we started wrapping.

In went the green sequined tank top.

In went the flower pot. Yeah, Jubilee got the filling. :)

And in went this cute doll. Remember when Jubi and I bought the doll? Look in the archives in May 5, 2011.

Marie and I decorated our boxes with ribbon. Fidelia declined. Here are the presents! and us. :)

Yay! I can't wait for Joy's party.

BFF reunited

Dog-Walking

Today, Winter (our cute puppy) was soooo energetic! He was just bouncing all over the house. Joy was complaining about his energy, so we decided to take him out to the dog park.

On our way out, we spotted Marie walking her dog Rascal. Our two puppy-dogs greeted each other, and us three decided to walk together. "Our dogs will enjoy it!" Joy smiled, watching Winter and Rascal sniffed each other amicably.

We decided to pretend that we were hiking a new trail, and that Joy was our trail guide. After all, she's so tall!

Rascal was so stubborn! I guess that's the reason behind his name...

On our way over, Joy noticed that the day-lilies were about to bloom. I can't wait! Those day-lilies are sooo pretty in bloom, and it'll be a perfect flower quest subject. (My next one will be with Fidelia)

Meanwhile, Marie had a one-on-one chat with Rascal. She really gave it to him! That dog needs to start obeying. :)

Finally, we made it to the park. Our pups frisked and frolicked in the vibrant green grass while us three chatted. Joy told us all about her plans for her b-day party! But, however, that belongs to a different post.

I won't forget! (I hope)

For the last five minutes of Joy's excited speech, Marie kept wiggling. As soon as Joy finished, Marie wasted no time in kicking off her sandals and rolling in the grass. I quickly joined her!

Joy gave in and laid in the grass too. She found the cutest ladybug sitting right next to her. :)

A birthday

No, not my birthday. :) In fact, it's my sister Joy's birthday that's coming up. She's turning 12 on May 17th!

Yay!

So today, Jubilee came over to help me figure out a present for her.

"Hurry up, Jubi!" Jubilee shrugged. "No worries, Ivy!" She smiled warmly. We went into my bedroom, and settled in.

I opened my laptop and messed around on the net. I knew Joy wanted a doll. Joy has wanted a doll for ages! Not American Girl, but Only Hearts Club. I dunno, but she does!


When we found something we wanted to buy, Jubi and I flew out the door and to Target!
"She's adorable!" I squealed. Jubilee smiled gently, holding my stuffed dog. "You picked a great present! She'll love it," She said.

My own doll sat besides me with her dog. This new girl's dog sniffed around friendly-like.

What a smart little girlie!

As soon as I held her, I knew she was just the right present for Joy!
