Okay, so maybe it wasn't the best thing to do, but it was FUN! F-u-n, fun. Wondering what I did? Well, I'll tell you. Yesterday afternoon, Jubilee and I were hanging out in my room.
Of course I was bummed out that Mama got to go to the theater to watch Cars 2 and left all the dolls behind! I mean, we should have that privilege, right? I sighed. I knew Jubi wanted to watch it too. "Supposed to be a spy movie." Jubilee murmured wistfully. "I love spy movies," I stroked Winter.
Winter sensed that I was feeling unhappy and whined softly. I patted his head, and twirled his smooth mustache around. "You're such a good friend, Winter!" I crooned. But after five minutes, I felt as bad ass ever. Even though I knew it would probably make me feel worse, I walked over to my laptop, and typed in "Cars 2 poster". This image came up...
Jubi closed my laptop. "Ivy, stop it! You're making yourself feel bad about a movie!" She looked sternly at me. I didn't answer, for suddenly, a thought had sprung into my mind! "Let's go see it!" I exclaimed. Jubi pretended to look shocked, but there was a curiousness and a excited twinkle in her eye. "We just can't go out and.........I mean.......Oh, you win, let's go!" She gave in with a little laugh.
Next, we counted our money. I had $11, and Jubilee had $8. "Perfect!" I said. We didn't really have a plan. I only knew that Cars 2 was playing at the uptown theater at 3 o'clock. At that time, it was 2:20. Next, I knew that Mama was leaving for a date with her bestie J.J. As soon as Mama left, we would go to the theater, buy tickets, watch the show, and come home! Easy as pie! I started to hum the Mission Impossible music. Jubi giggled, "Your mission, Ivy and Jubi, if you choose to accept it, is to watch Cars 2 and get home without getting in trouble!"
At exactly two forty-five, Mama left for her friend's house. Our plan was working so far, but we hadn't even gotten to the door! We tried to sneak out the back way, yet my little (irony, isn't it?) sister Joy was there waiting. "Where ya going, Ivy?" She asked. "We're going out exploring to find some flowers." I said stoutly. "I want to come then." She replied coolly. "We're going by ourselves, and it's none of your business to come anyway!" I rejoined defensively. "Fine, fine." She said. We flew out the door before we could meet up with any more delays!
The ticket buying proved to be a little stressful. It was five minutes till movie time, and we didn't have tickets, popcorn, or drinks yet! "Boy, seeing a movie by ourselves is harder than I thought!" I ran my fingers through my hair. Finally, we ordered the tickets. "Here are your tickets, little misses. The room is two doors to your left." The ticket seller smiled at us. "It's a very light crowd today. You may have any seats you wish!"
Jubi and I waved our tickets, and pretended that we were fashionable stars going out to see a premiere of their movie. Then we realized it was only 2 minutes till showtime! We whisked ourselves away to the refreshment counter, then darted into the theater. It was surprisingly empty. Jubi and I, of course, chose the box seats. :)
It was a thrilling movie! I love anything Mama loves. All her favorite movies and favorite movie characters are my favorite movies and movie characters. Thus, you may deduct from this information (that is, if you read Mama's blog) that my favorite character is Finn McMissile! Haha!
After the movie, we laughed and hugged. "So fun!" We agreed. "I love Finn!" I exclaimed. "Oh, he's okay, but Mater and Holly are my favorites!" Jubi replied. We split our paths to go home. I don't know what Jubi received when she got home, but I got a lecture. :(
Nevermind, it was fun!
Well, gotta go now. I have a party to attend, so I must be off!
